About MidiSoft. Standard MIDI was created in 1983 to unify digital synthesizers, that from now on they can be controlled from a single keyboard, working with computer. This is a great technology, that allows an incredible opportunity to build and edit musical arrangements.
In '95, i purchased midisoft studio which was also my intro to the computer world. Since then,i've tried using other software and they've all been disapointing, frustrating, and most of all 'creativity killers'. W/ midisoft, when that brainstorm hits ie; 'I need some strings right here' all i had to do was go to my list of instraments, click on strings and start playing 'BAM' done. Not to mention, EVEN THE MUSIC WAS WRITTEN AS I PLAYED! W/ these other programs, U need a masters in sound egineering to get the sound you want.by then the inspiration is gone IF U tweak the different soundwaves right.

I'm sure your product has improved since then, but even the '95 version would be a blessing. At the present time i need to download a free version even if it's a demo i think it would work 4 me. 3 Answers SOURCE: I just found the same program with the same cables. I am going to try a usb to midi cable made by m-audio only because I have it hooked up right now to laptop running xp and the old version of Mircacle Piano which is the best by far and it works great.
It is an M-Audio usb to midi cable called the UNO or something like that. Its the one for 39 bucks very simple. It should work as long as your computer is running windows OS thats compatable or try running in 95 mode.
Also some of these programs recognize processor speed and dont work on the newer systems. Good luck with it. Have you ever used seen this software before? Ever see Miracle Piano? Wondering how they compare. Posted on Sep 18, 2012.
Quartz AudioMaster Freeware is a powerful though easy-to-use multitrack recorder and MIDI sequencer running under Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and the best way to try the Quartz Audio Family software concept for FREE (fully working - no limitation at all - it's not a trial version). It is intended for people who want to record, compose, mix, play and share music using a computer and a sound card. It features 4 stereo audio tracks, 16 MIDI tracks, effect plug-ins, per-track EQ, Aux buses, Video sync, Score, GM/GS/XG and 'Piano roll' editors and all the functionalities required to easily share musical projects across the internet up to its multitrack compressed file format. Related Hardware:. Well, not visually, but in essence the same thing with 4, instead of 2, wav audio tracks. I abandoned that finally when it became too antiquated.
Absolutely no vst support. It's fine when using mid files to play through my old DR-5 but I don't want to do that anymore. I'm looking for a good free sequencer that will allow me to sync my vst synths to drums. On the drum side of things I use Hydrogen which is fantastic, especially when you create your own drum kits, bu thas no interface with any type of vst hosts out there. This is getting harder and harder to find. Anybody know of anything I haven't tried and discarded?
(Reaper, Anvil, Ableton Live, many more.). I'm running this program on XP with a Keystation 49 - finally sorted out the various start-up issues (no sound, couldn't record, etc.! ) that I see a lot of others have already posted.
So now I have the various voices accessible, and can record and playback. BUT - I still have two problems that I can't figure out (I'm a musician but new to music software) - anyone have ideas? A) There is a serious lag from key depression to note sound - about half a second or so, which really throws off my tempo. B) I set up four midi tracks and recorded the first voice as Harp. I then wanted to play back the Harp track while I recorded the second track with a different voice - Clarinet. However, when I set the second voice it changed in all four tracks, including the first one - so my harp became a clarinet.
Is it possible to set four different (or more) voices, one in each track? It should be and I'm probably just missing a clicked button somewhere. Thank you, everyone who's taken the time to comment and answer so far - this is more helpful than a lot of places I've looked! Hoping someone has ideas for my particular noobie questions.:) Judith. There is no fix for these types of problems for freeware or sharewhere only close to fixed. If u respond to this ill send u a couple of music programs that i currently use (reason 5 and sonar 8) if not go to the options menu of whateverprogram u are running and find ur midi device (keystation 49) in the same area look for audio output, and find ur sound card. If ur just using the keyboard and computer it will prob.be wme.
From there adjust the audio buffers in the latencey. If u plan on doing this for awhile or anything more than just for fun i suggest purchasing an external sound and midi device. There simple to use and plug right into ur usb port. Hey Just wondering if any one has come in to this problem. Digtal sound plannet is uncontactable Phoned for about 2 weeks every day no luck emailed about 3 email adresses on their page (sales, webmaster, support)no reply for weeks HELP! Ok i tryed 3 different sound cards - one of them worked fine in windows 98 - it was an avance generic card - but then i put the exact shit on 2k and it only saw the MIDI prtion of the card and no wave portion - same thing in xp - same thing with my integrated sound card (aOpen Mother board) same god damn thing with sound blaster live platnium!
